By downloading, accessing, or using FlashQuest, you agree to these Terms of Service.

Use of FlashQuest

FlashQuest is a study and flashcard application that helps users create, organize, and review learning content through manual creation, AI-powered tools, spaced repetition, timed quizzes, and real-time multiplayer features.

You must be at least 13 years old to create or use a FlashQuest account or to use AI, cloud sync, social, multiplayer, publishing, or other connected features. FlashQuest may use a neutral age screen to enforce this requirement and may restrict or delete an ineligible account.

You may use local-only study features in guest mode without an account or connected services. Creating an eligible account enables additional features including cloud sync, social features, multiplayer, and community deck publishing.

You agree to use FlashQuest only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not interfere with the rights of others or the operation of the app.

FlashQuest Pro and AI Credits

FlashQuest Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription available monthly or annually. Core manual decks, Study, Quest, progress and sync remain free. The app shows the price in your local currency and the billing period before you confirm a purchase. An annual subscription is billed for the full year upfront.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account. A subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage your plan or cancel renewal through your App Store account settings. Cancelling renewal normally keeps Pro access available until the current paid period ends. Apple handles App Store billing and refund requests.

Free accounts receive 5 AI credits per UTC calendar month and Pro includes 20 shared credits for AI deck generation and imports. Larger imports can require multiple credits; the app shows their cost before you proceed. Credits refill at the start of each UTC calendar month, do not roll over, and are not cash or transferable currency. Upgrading increases the monthly limit without resetting credits already used that month. AI study-help features have separate daily allowances shown in the app.

A generation request reserves its credits when it starts. Repeating the same request does not charge twice; a confirmed failed generation returns its reserved credit. An interrupted request with an unconfirmed outcome can remain reserved while its result is reconciled. Contact support if your balance appears incorrect.

Use Restore purchases in Profile > Settings > FlashQuest Pro to reconnect an existing Apple purchase. Deleting FlashQuest or your FlashQuest account does not itself cancel an Apple subscription; manage renewal in your App Store account settings.

User Content

You are responsible for content you upload, submit, create, or share through FlashQuest, including text, notes, images, flashcards, and decks.

You represent that you have the right to submit that content and that it does not violate applicable law or the rights of others.

You retain any rights you hold in your content. You give FlashQuest a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to store, copy, process, format, and display it only as needed to provide the features you choose, maintain the service, and address safety or legal issues. Service providers may perform these tasks for us under the Privacy Policy. This permission does not transfer ownership of your content to FlashQuest.

Importing notes or generating a private deck does not itself publish it. Private material is processed for the features you request; it is not made available in the community library unless you choose to publish. A right to read or privately use material does not necessarily include a right to upload, reproduce, or publicly share it.

Community Decks and Reporting

By choosing to publish a deck, you additionally permit FlashQuest to display and distribute that deck and its accompanying title, description, and publisher identity through the app, community website, and deck-sharing previews. You permit people who can access the published deck to save, copy, and adapt it for their own personal study. This does not give them permission to sell or republish your content unless you separately allow it or applicable law permits it. You must have the rights needed to grant these permissions, including for images and other material within the deck. Attribution alone is not permission.

Public decks may be discovered by others, including through the website. Unlisted decks are shared by link and are not a confidential storage option: recipients can pass the link on. You may unpublish your decks at any time. Unpublishing stops new access to the published source, but does not remotely erase independent copies that other users have already saved. Their permission to use lawfully saved copies for personal study continues; linked images or other remotely hosted material may become unavailable. This does not prevent action on unlawful content or applicable privacy requests.

Users may report published decks for inappropriate content, spam, copied content, or inaccuracy. Decks that receive multiple reports may be automatically hidden. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms.

Rights holders and their authorized representatives can use our copyright reporting process without a FlashQuest account. We review complaints, may restrict access while investigating, and provide a way for affected publishers to challenge a decision. Repeated infringement may result in loss of publishing access or account termination. See the Community Guidelines.

AI-Generated Content

FlashQuest may generate flashcards or study materials using AI systems. AI-generated content may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your specific use. You are responsible for reviewing and using generated content with judgment.

The same content-rights and community rules apply to AI-assisted decks. Using AI does not establish ownership or make copied or restricted source material free to share. Check factual accuracy, remove personal information, and confirm the rights to both source material and output before publishing.

Acceptable Use

You may not use FlashQuest to:

• Violate any law or regulation
• Infringe intellectual property or privacy rights
• Upload harmful, abusive, or unlawful content
• Publish decks containing inappropriate, offensive, or misleading material
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or compromise the app or its services
• Abuse the reporting system to target legitimate content

Account Deletion

You can request account deletion at any time directly in the app (Profile > Account > Delete Account). FlashQuest first removes and verifies stored cloud files, handles a retained Apple authorization credential when applicable, and then finalizes relational account deletion. The app reports a request as complete only after the service confirms these steps. A completed deletion is permanent. Limited records may remain when necessary for abuse prevention, moderation enforcement, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or dispute resolution, as described in the Privacy Policy. If you cannot access the app, contact privacy@flashquest.net.

Service Availability

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of FlashQuest at any time, with or without notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Disclaimer

FlashQuest is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FlashQuest and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the app.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to FlashQuest if these Terms are violated or if necessary to protect the app, its users, or our operations.

Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Continued use of FlashQuest after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
